ELEVATE Hoops Leagues is a developmental basketball program held every second weekend on Saturday’s for Boys in grades 4-7 (ONLY boys that are registered in our ELEVATE Hoops Nights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) are eligible to register for the Hoops Leagues). Hoops Leagues is an extension of our Hoops Nights program, which offers players an additional 4 on 4 league game play experience during our Fall and Spring Hoops Nights seasons. Players will be placed on a team for the duration of the season and receive 5 weeks of league play. The league will consist of 4 separate leagues for grades 4, 5, 6, and 7 players). With an emphasis on sportsmanship and fun, Hoops Leagues are designed to teach grades 4-7 boys the fundamental understanding of what it means to be on a team, roles and responsibilities, and how basketball games are structured. Players will experience offensive & defensive formations/strategies and applying basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and passing taught in Hoops nights within their game play. Hoops Leagues features an opportunity for Hoops Nights players to experience a proper warm up and fun/competitive league games!
Character development is stressed in all of the ELEVATE Hoops Night programs. At ELEVATE, we believe in an ‘inside-out’ coaching philosophy, which focuses on character development and the building of strong core/moral values in each individual. Using the game of basketball, in a coaching/mentorship approach, our passion is to teach such inner disciplines as: commitment, work ethic, and perseverance, which will set players up for success on the court, in the classroom, and ultimately in life! ELEVATE hoops nights also strive to create community in the program, by developing youth who are ‘others-focused’ and who understand what it means to be a team player!
