Thursday Night Hoops (THN) is a developmental basketball program held at Peter Ewart on the Surrey/Langley Border in B.C. With an emphasis on sportsmanship and fun, THN is designed to teach grade 3-7 boys fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and passing. As well, players will learn about different offensive and defensive formations and strategies. Thursday nights features carefully chosen, challenging drills that are designed to teach and reinforce the fundamental mechanics in basketball skills, followed by many fun modified games and 5 on 5 games!
Character development is stressed in all of the ELEVATE hoops night programs. At ELEVATE, we believe in an ‘inside-out’ coaching philosophy, which focuses on character development and the building of strong core/moral values in each individual. Using the game of basketball, in a coaching/mentorship approach, our passion is to teach such inner disciplines as: commitment, work ethic, and perseverance, which will set players up for success on the court, in the classroom, and ultimately in life! ELEVATE hoops nights also strive to create community in the program, by developing youth who are ‘others-focused’ and who understand what it means to be a team player!

*** All Elevate Thursday Night Hoops players must wear an ELEVATE reversible jersey every Thursday night (returning players who already have a jersey do not need to purchase another one). Jerseys can be purchased for $39.50 + tax online during the online registration process. Also, each player is required to bring his/her own age-appropriate basketball every Thursday night. ELEVATE basketballs are available for purchase online for $29.50 + tax.
