We are also thrilled to announce that former Trinity Western University Spartan basketball player Logan Kitteringham will be another of our guest coaches at our Elevate Elite Camp this summer. Here is a profile of Logan:
In grade 12, Logan received a AAA Provincial All-Star while leading his team to a 4th Place Provincial Finish with WGSS in 2000. After high school, Kitteringham was a member of the UCFV Cascades and was named BCCAA Rookie of the Year in 2001. The following year, he helped UCFV win a National Championship (BCCAA). After a successful college basketball career, he earned a scholarship and became a Spartan with teammate Coach Janzen at Trinity Western University. In his first year at TWU, Kitteringham received a CIS Canada West All-Star Award. Most recently, Logan was involved in coaching the WGSS senior boys basketball team to a Provincial Championship this past year.
Kitteringham and Janzen first met each other as opponents in college, Kitteringham playing for UCFV and Janzen playing for Langara College. After two hard years of battle against each other, they both committed to playing for TWU. Janzen says “Logan is one of the players that you do not want to play against, because of his tenacious physical intensity, but I tell you, you love when he is on your roster”! Kitteringham and Janzen were teammates for three years at TWU and developed a strong friendship. “Logan and I instantly became real close because we both played a tough style on the court, I always knew that Logan had my back on the court. But it was off the court, rooming together on road trips and joking around together after practices in the locker room, where Logan and I were inseparable on the team. I will always consider Logan as one of the best rebounders and hardest workers on the court that I have ever played with”, says Janzen.
“I am really excited to have Logan as a guest coach for our Elite basketball Camp and I know the great impact he is going to have on the campers this summer”, says Janzen.
